The TerraCare System

Everything You Need to Offer Terramation. Installed in Your Facility. Operated by Your Team.

The TerraCare System is a complete, turnkey terramation platform. Purpose-built for funeral homes, crematories, and cemetery operators.

It includes proprietary Chrysalis™ Vessels, a full Terramation Vessel Network (TVN), comprehensive staff training and certification, communications materials, and ongoing operational support from the team that pioneered the technology.

You don't need prior experience with Natural Organic Reduction. TerraCare handles the complexity so you can focus on serving families.

Proprietary Technology. Fourth-Generation Design. Proven at Scale.

The Chrysalis™ Vessel is the core of the TerraCare system, purpose-engineered Natural Organic Reduction equipment designed and manufactured specifically for funeral homes and crematories.

Now in its fourth generation, the Chrysalis™ Vessel has been refined through hundreds of completed terramations at The Natural Funeral's Colorado Care Center.

As the only NOR vessel manufacturer with a proven U.S. track record, The Natural Funeral builds every Chrysalis™ Vessel to the standards established through hundreds of real-world dispositions, tested and improved under real operating conditions, not in a lab.

Each vessel is manufactured by The Natural Funeral, Inc. and delivered as part of a complete Terramation Vessel Network installation.

What makes the Chrysalis™ Vessel different:

Monitored Biological Process

Integrated systems track temperature, weight, moisture, and airflow throughout the 28–33 day transformation cycle, ensuring consistent results every time.

TerraTea™ System

Each process uses our proprietary TerraTea biologic catalyst, a blend of 25 specific bacterial strains and 15 fungal spores, optimized to accelerate transformation and yield unparalleled soil quality.

Regenerative Living Soil™ Output

Approximately half a cubic yard of nutrient-rich, living soil, dark and loamy, not coarse bark-like material. Families receive soil that can sustain a memorial garden, nourish a tree, or be donated to partner land preserves.

Proven Reliability

Hundreds of completed terramations. The technology is operational and producing consistent, high-quality results, not experimental.

8 Hours of Operator Time. 28–33 Days of Transformation.

Laying In

Remains are placed in the Chrysalis™ Vessel on a bed of organic materials. For many families, this is a profoundly meaningful ceremony. Unlike flame cremation, terramation allows for a participatory laying-in experience, an additional service touchpoint that families value and operators can price accordingly.

The Transformation

Over 28–33 days, naturally occurring biological processes, accelerated and optimized by the TerraTea™ system, gently transform organic materials and remains into nutrient-rich soil. The vessel's monitoring systems track temperature, moisture, weight, and airflow throughout the cycle.

Sifting and Curing

After the initial transformation, the soil is sifted for inorganics and bones. Inorganics are recycled; bones are reduced and placed back into the soil, which then cures for 30 days. The cure period allows the process to complete, the soil to cool, and the final product to reach its optimal nutrient profile.

The Soil Return

At the end of the curing period, the process yields roughly half a cubic yard of Regenerative Living Soil™, placed into 25 lb bags for return to the family.

Memorial Services

The return of soil opens the door to additional participatory services: tree plantings, memorial garden scatterings, laying-out ceremonies. These are the kinds of meaningful services that direct cremation eliminated, and they represent both profound family experiences and additional revenue opportunities.

The Environmental Impact

Terramation doesn't just reduce environmental harm. It reverses it. Each terramation sequesters approximately 961 pounds of carbon dioxide. Compare that to flame cremation, which emits 400–600 pounds of CO₂ per disposition, and you're looking at a 1,500 pound difference.

A 6-Step Process. Turnkey Installation. Full Support From Day One.

TerraCare doesn't just ship you equipment and wish you luck. The Terramation Vessel Network (TVN) deployment is a fully managed process designed to take you from sign-on to serving families with confidence.

  1. On-Site Survey & Evaluation

A TerraCare team visits your facility to evaluate layout, confirm TVN configuration fit, and identify any required modifications. Not a phone call — a highly personalized, on-site visit.

  2. Design

A detailed design document with the recommended TVN layout and all site modifications needed for your specific facility. You know exactly what the installation will look like before it begins.

  3. Build

The Natural Funeral manufactures your Chrysalis™ Vessels and prepares all TVN components for deployment. Every system is built to your facility's specific configuration.

  4. Installation & Testing

Full turnkey installation and testing. Every component is integrated, calibrated, and confirmed operational before handoff. Your facility is ready to serve families the day installation is complete.

  5. Training & Certification

Your operations staff is trained and certified. Your funeral directors are equipped to introduce terramation to families with clarity and confidence.

  6. Starter Kit Delivery

Delivery of the proprietary blend of organic materials formulated for optimal terramation conditions in each Chrysalis™ Vessel. Everything your team needs to begin operations immediately after installation.

Transparent Pricing. No Hidden Costs. Forecastable ROI.

TerraCare is built on the belief that operators should have complete clarity and transparency. Here's a straightforward view of what the investment looks like.

Item Base Investment
Terramation Vessel Network (TVN) Base System $110,000
Chrysalis™ Vessel (per vessel) $60,000
Minimum installation (TVN + 4 vessels) $350,000
Vessels Discount Price Per Vessel
1–5 vessels Standard $60,000
6–10 vessels 5% $57,000
11–20 vessels 10% $54,000
20+ vessels 15% $51,000

Each terramation carries a $2,000 per-process fee that covers your ongoing license, operational support, and starter kit materials for that disposition. This fee supports a true turn-key model, including ongoing maintenance and support, all pre-measured organics for each process, and access to TNFI's proprietary technology and operational best practices. Volume discounts mirror the equipment pricing above.

A standard 4-vessel installation represents a $350,000 investment, with most TerraCare partners achieving full return within 18 months.
